As prosecutors assemble their case against 18 teens from Mountain View and Los Altos for suspected arson and other charges stemming from last month's Fordham Way house fire, police are still interested in speaking with anyone who may have information of the partying that allegedly occurred at the home while the residents were away.

Mountain View Fire and Police departments, with assistance from the Palo Alto Fire Department, Santa Clara County Fire and Fire Associates of Santa Clara Valley, responded March 16 at 2:18 a.m. to the 1700 block of Fordham where a single-family home was ablaze and the family's vehicle was stolen.

Investigators determined the fire's origin was arson started inside the residence.

Sixteen juveniles and two adults, Brandon Pak, 18, and Gilbert Gomes, 18, were arrested by officers in late March for a variety of charges, including suspicion of arson, burglary, vehicle theft, child endangerment, providing marijuana to juveniles, drug possession and drug sales, police said.

The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office is currently pursuing prosecution of the adults and the juveniles, police said.

Anyone with additional knowledge of the party, meanwhile, is encouraged to contact the police department via telephone at 650-903-6344.
