Suspect Named in Robbery, Purse Recovered
An 18-year-old Redwood City resident is the suspect in the downtown robbery on Oct. 20.
Police have identified the suspect in a recent armed robbery in downtown Palo Alto and are trying to track him down, Palo Alto police said Friday.
Police have named 18-year-old Emanuel Abazan, of Redwood City, as a suspect in the Oct. 20 armed robbery. A lone gunman approached in the 300 block of Ramona Street around 11 p.m. The man approached from behind, showed a small handgun and demanded the woman's purse.
The woman complied and the suspect fled in a car, police said. A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Abazan for the charges of robbery, vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

Police Friday morning searched Abazan's home in Redwood City where they recovered the victim's stolen property.
Police also seized a handgun from the home that was likely used during the robbery, police said.
