Week in Crime: Double Drug Bust, Arson Reported

The following information was supplied by the Palo Alto Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday

10:34 a.m., 340 Portage Avenue: Police cited Garrett Ikler, 37, a Redwood City resident, on suspicion of shoplifting.

11:40 a.m., 900 block of Embarcadero Road: Police cited Jose Alfredo Jiminez, 21, a San Jose resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

12:29 p.m., 705 Newell Road: An unknown suspect, or suspects, broke into a home and stole several items.

2:28 p.m., 3000 block of Alma Street: Police arrested Nicholas Lepisto, 26, a Palo Alto resident, on suspicion of drunken driving after fleeing from the scene of an accident.

3:23 p.m., 963 Oregon Avenue: Suspicious circumstances were reported to police.

 

Saturday

12:01 a.m., 200 block of University Avenue: Police arrested Daniel Jeffers, 25, a Brisbane resident, on suspicion of drunken driving.

9:13 a.m., High Street and Hamilton Avenue: Police cited Charled Thomas Mahoney, 48, a San Jose resident, on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs.

3:36 p.m., 401 Waverley Street: Police arrested Scott Duesenberg, 48, a San Jose resident, on suspicion of being drunk in public.

6:50 p.m., Stanford Shopping Center, 180 El Camino Real: Police cited Jian Ping Lui, 54, a Sunnyvale resident, and  Wen Li, 35, a Mountain View resident, on suspicion of shoplifting.

11:17 p.m., 117 University Avenue: Police arrested Joseph A. Lobato, 32, a San Francisco resident, on suspicion of brandishing a weapon.

 

Sunday

8:17 p.m., 411 College Avenue: Someone spotted an unknown person peering through a window in the person's home.

11:54 p.m., 3300 block of El Camino Real: Police arrested Troy Lee Norvell, 24, a Modesto resident, on an outside warrant.

5:35 p.m., 1451 Middlefield Road: An unknown suspect smashed a car window and stole several items.

5:45 p.m., 1451 Middlefield Road: An unknown suspect punched through a car door lock and stole several items.

 

Monday

1:02 a.m., 95 University Avenue: Someone reported a fight that occurred between two people.

12:23 a.m., Saint Francis Drive: Police arrested someone on charges of domestic violence and battery.

3:05 p.m., 1005 University Avenue: An unknown suspect stole someone's tools from a shed.

3:53 p.m., 180 El Camino Real: Pauline Partti, 44, a Mountain View resident, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism.

4:05 p.m., Madux Drive: Someone reported a case of possible arson.

 

Tuesday

10:05 a.m., 600 block of Los Robles Avenue: Police towed an abandoned car.

11:22 a.m., 456 University Avenue: An unknown suspect stole a cell phone and a wallet.

12:15 p.m., 300 block of Pasteur Drive: An unknown suspect stole someone's credit card and made fraudulent purchases.

1:13 p.m., 865 East Meadow Drive: An unknown suspect used someone's account to make fraudulent transactions.

6 p.m., 100 block of Churchill Avenue: Someone found a purse.

9:07 p.m., 300 block of University Avenue: Police arrested George Meier, 58, a Menlo Park resident, and Brian Sullivan, 39, residence unknown, on suspicion of being drunk in public.

 

 

Thursday

900 block of Frontage Road: John Mark Gulvarte, 37, a Santa Cruz resident, was arrested and booked on an outside warrant.

2:45 p.m., Page Mill Road and U.S. Highway 280: Police cited Joseph Louis Squatritto, 29, an East Palo Alto resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

8:39 p.m., 725 Welch Road: Police arrested Angel Caro, 29, a Salinas resident, on an outside warrant.
