Week in Crime: iPhone Thief, Missing Diaper Bag and a Stolen Rental Car

Friday

8:47 a.m., 250 Lytton Avenue: James McFarland, 47, a Palo Alto resident, was arrested and booked on an outside warrant.

11:56 a.m., 814 San Antonio Road: An unknown suspect did not return a rental car.

4:29 p.m., 300 block of University Avenue: Jeffry Zeman, 58, a Menlo Park resident, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

11:10 p.m., 100 block of University Avenue: Edwin Felipe Moreno, 29, a Menlo Park resident, was arrested and booked on an outside warrant.

Saturday

2:23 a.m., 700 block of Oregon Expressway: Kelina Destiny Burris, 19, a San Jose resident, was arrested cited on suspicion of drunken driving.

2:35 a.m., 500 block of Ramona Street: Venko Gospodinov, 45, a Sunnyvale resident, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

11:09 a.m., 700 block of San Antonio Road: Kurt Eugene Cocktine, 53, a Mountain View resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

4:05 p.m., 702 Colorado Avenue: Alfred Padilla, 52, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

6:28 p.m., 340 Portage Avenue Avenue: Barry Buchstaber, 54, a Portola Valley resident, was cited on suspicion of pretty theft / shoplifting.

11:25 p.m., 500 block of Emerson Street: Police towed a car that was parked in a taxi zone.

 

Sunday

12:42 a.m., Embarcadero Road and Waverley Street: Pierce August Soracco, 24, a San Bruno resident, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

1:42 a.m., 600 block of University Avenue: John Louis Amos, 32, a Newark resident, was arrested and booked on an outside warrant.

3:01 a.m., 500 block of Arastradero Road: Peiling Chang, 47, a Palo Alto resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of being drunk in public.

11:09 a.m., 436 High Street: An unknown suspect stole art supplies from someone's personal locker.

3:30 p.m., 1788 Sand Hill Road: An unknown suspect broke into a home and stole personal belongings.

7:12 p.m., 400 block of San Antonio Road: Police arrested Neil Richard Favro, 33, a Redwood City resident, on suspicion of drunken driving, hit-and-run and driving with a suspended or revoked license. 

 

 

Monday

10:20 a.m., San Antonio and East Charleston Roads: Brian Bitney, 59, a Saratoga resident resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

12:12 p.m., 2225 East Bayshore Road: Alton Simond, 37, a San Francisco resident, was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

4:15 p.m., 305 Cowper Street: An unknown suspect used someone's identity to make fraudulent credit card purchases.

8:13 p.m., 2800 block of Ramona Street: Roger Callahan, 29, a San Diego resident, was cited on suspicion of soliciting sales without a permit.

 

 

Tuesday

7:23 p.m., 100 block of University Avenue: William Edward Tate III, 55, a Palo Alto resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with suspended or revoked license.

9:40 p.m., 300 Pasteur Drive: An unknown suspect stole a wallet from a woman's purse and then used her credit card's to make fraudulent purchases.

10:18 p.m., 100 block of El Camino Real: Frank Perez, 42, a Palo Alto resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of being drunk in public.

11 p.m., 500 block of Emerson Street: Paul Jones, 35, a Palo Alto resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of a parole violation.

 

 

Wednesday

12:30 a.m., 200 block of University Avenue: Alexander Semeno, 45, a San Jose resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of being drunk in public.

8:55 a.m., 400 block of Sequoia Avenue: Police towed an abandoned car.

5:02 p.m., 777 block of El Camino Real: Someone found a diaper bag.

7:48 p.m., 2805 El Camino Real: An unknown suspect stole an iPhone from a store.

10:34 p.m., Unknown Location on Harker Avenue: Police arrested someone on domestic violence and battery charges.

 

 

Thursday

1:38 a.m., 733 Addison Avenue: Police and medics sent someone who was extremely intoxicate to a hospital.

9:25 a.m., 375 Mandarin Drive: An unknown suspect stole a black 1992 Acura Integra, License 3BZW136.

4:30 p.m., Unknown Location on Embarcadero Road: Police took a report on possible child abuse.

5:31 p.m., 451 University Avenue: An unknown suspect stole a laptop from a store's display table.

7:16 p.m., 400 block of Scripps Avenue: Someone's dog got loose and attacked another dog, causing its owner to fall and suffer an injury.

8:27 p.m., 1105 Lincoln Avenue: An unknown suspect entered someone's home through an open window and stole jewelry and laptops.
