Week in Crime: Suspect Busted on Sex Crime Charge

Friday

9:15 a.m., 2225 Ramona Street: An unknown suspect was reportedly threatening someone.

10 a.m., Unknown Location, Wilkie Way: A scam involving grand theft was reported.

6:30 p.m., 1520 Sand Hill Road: An unknown suspect broke into a home and stole property.

Saturday

1:11 a.m., 2100 block of El Camino Real: Billie Benson, 28, a Redwood City resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

10 a.m., Embarcadero and West Bayshore Roads: Jose Rene Martinez Sanchez, 235, a Sunnyvale resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

8:41 p.m., 1700 block of University Avenue: Curtis Sanara Wilson, 46, residence unknown, was arrested and booked on suspicion of several drug charges.

 

Sunday

1:47 a.m., El Camino Real and Stanford Avenue: Jean Luc Kayigire, 26, a Berkeley resident, was cited on suspicion of drunken driving.

12:06 p.m.,425 Grant Avenue: Police towed a car that had an expired registration.

11:23 p.m., 1000 block of Embarcadero Road: Police cited an unknown person with a notice to appear in court on an outside warrant.

 

Monday

9 a.m., Stanford Shopping Center, 180 El Camino Real: An unknown suspect vandalized someone's car.

11:15 a.m., Alma Street and Kellogg Avenue: Police cited someone on charges of driving without a license.

11:40 a.m., 3825 Fabian Way: An unknown suspect illegal pulled money from someone's bank account.

12:24 p.m., Stanford Shopping Center, 180 El Camino Real: An unknown suspect shoplifted from a store.

 

Tuesday

3:19 a.m., 164 University Avenue: Medics transported someone to Stanford Medical Center for a 72-hour mental evaluation.

10:39 a.m., 2390 El Camino Real: Someone reported lost backpack.

3:46 p.m., 400 Hamilton Avenue: An unknown suspect crashed into a car and then fled the scene.

8:25 p.m., Stanford Shopping Center, 180 El Camino Real: Police arrested an unknown suspect on suspicion of indecent exposure / sex crimes.

11:05 p.m., 100 block of Forest Avenue: Doo T. Kim, 22, a San Jose resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

 

Wednesday

11:31 a.m., 272 East Charleston Road: An unknown suspect stole someone's identity and made fraudulent purchases with it.

2:15 p.m., 2600 El Camino Real: An unknown suspect stole someone's identity and made fraudulent purchases with it.

4:22 p.m., 2580 California Street: Michael Ward, 59, a Sunnyvale resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of drunken driving.

10 p.m., 340 Portage Avenue: An unknown suspect drew a handgun and pointed it at someone.

 

Thursday

7:45 a.m., 541 Ramona Street: An unknown suspect stole a wallet and tried to make fraudulent purchases with one of the victim's credit card.

9 a.m., 795 El Camino Real: An unknown suspect stole property from an unlocked car.

9 p.m., San Antonio Road and Alma Street: Dennis Christopher Karr, 48, a San Jose resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked.

9:21 p.m., San Antonio Road and Nita Avenue: Malakai Ofakineiafu, 26, a Redwood City resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

9:56 p.m., 2080 Channing Avenue: Samiu Talakai, 56, an East Palo Alto resident, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.
