Al Gore, Senate Hopefuls Also Coming to Rake in Local Cash

Gore will host Senate Hopeful Bill Nelson this weekend.

Before President Barack Obama , a couple other high-profile Democrats will be landing in Palo Alto.

Senator Bill Nelson (D-Florida) will be joining Vice President Al Gore for a fundraiser this Sunday, May 6. The event is being hosted by Brook Byers, John Doerr, Google NetPAC, Gary Lauer, Lorna and Wade Randlett, Amy Rao and Harry Plant, Steve Spinner, and TechNet PAC. Chairs costs $5,000 and individual contributions are $2,500 and $1,000. RSVPs are available here, and the event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Then, on June 6, Virginia Governor and U.S. Senate hopeful Tim Kaine will fly in to fill his coffers. That reception will be hosted by Adean and Ben Golub and runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Contributions also range from $5,000 to $1,000, and RSVPs can be made here.
