For The Cost of Three Grande Lattes, You Can Have Me!

My name is Bronco, and I'm up for adoption for $12 at Palo Alto Animal Services. And I'm a good walker -- watch my video!

Bronco, a neutered male pit bull mix, is available for adoption for just $12 at Palo Alto Animal Services as part of its annual "Home for the Holidays" program.

Bronco is "blue and white," estimated to be 1 year old, and has been at the shelter since Sept. 7, 2013.

The 60-pound, former stray is a nice, active, playful dog, who does need some obedience and house-training. Shelter staff suggests his adoptive parents be adult, experienced dog owners.

Palo Alto Animal Services is among six shelters in Santa Clara County that hope to find homes for some 1,300 animals and are offering $12 adoption fees -- down from $90 to $120  -- for any adult cat or dog through Dec. 31.

The $12 fee covers all benefits such as spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation and registration, vaccinations, defleaing and deworming and FIV/FeLV testing for cats.

Palo Alto Animal Services, 3281 E. Bayshore Road, is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, except for holidays, and closed every other Friday. See its Facebook page here.

Other participating shelters are listed here.
