It's Neck-and-Neck: Patch Users Split Over Sign Board

The latest tally has the votes equally split between those who think Belmont should keep the Twin Pines sign board as is, and those who would like replace it with an electronic board. Vote now!

(Editor's Note: This story originally ran on April 4 calling for your comments and vote on whether or not Belmont should upgrade its sign board.)

Some say the sign board on Ralston Avenue that touts Belmont's events is quaint and fits with the vibe of Twin Pines Park.

Others say it's time for an upgrade to a sign that can deliver electronic messages and be controlled remotely. Currently a Belmont Park and Recreation employee must climb a ladder each week to manually change the messages letter by letter.

Tell us what you think in the poll below, and feel free to tell us in the comment section how you think the message board could be improved.

I think several city departments have Facebook pages

This city needs new revenues. A tasteful sign downtown with clear, regular updates of the many events, vs. single event notices now, will get the attention of 000's of cars daily - we want them stopping and spending money in our little city. I bet the library could get a private company or resident to easily donate a digital sign (40-inch LCD is easy) which would fit easily inside a window or on the side of the building.

TMC, where are those Facebook pages. I've never seen any?
