Paula Sandas Resigns as CEO of Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce

In a letter to chamber members, Sandas specifies she is leaving to work at a Santa Cruz County business.

Paula Sandas announced Wednesday that she is leaving her post as head of the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 30.

“I have enjoyed a productive tenure at the chamber and feel very good about the changes I've led since January 2009," she wrote in an emailed letter to chamber members. “I know I'm leaving the chamber on a good footing, poised to move forward with new initiatives that will bring greater value to you, our members.”

Sandas stated that she is leaving her position to work at an unspecified Santa Cruz County business in the “budding ‘co-working’ arena.”

The chamber will conduct a search for a new CEO. Paul Wright, who has previously served as the CEO of the Santa Rosa and San Francisco chambers, will serve on an interim basis in the meantime.
