School Board President Camille Townsend Seeks Reelection
Townsend announced this week that she will be on the ballot in November's elections
Camille Townsend, the current Palo Alto school board President, announced this week that she will seek reelection in November's elections.
Townsend was first elected to the school board in 2003. She served as and again this year. She says that this upcoming year will be incredibly influential.
"The current budget challenges, ongoing building projects, and exciting education possibilities all make Board experience more important than ever," Townsend said in an email.

Also on the ballot for the upcoming election are one-term incumbent Melissa Baten Caswell and Heidi Emberling, who is running for her first term on the school board. Current board member Barbara Klausner announced recently that she will not be seeking reelection.
Townsend, a parent of two Paly grads, says she "look[s] forward with enthusiasm to working with our great community, students, teachers, and staff."
