The is eyeing the former as a possible acquisition.

The PAUSD Board will take up the issue at its meeting on Sept. 27, according to a statement sent out Tuesday afternoon. The 2.6-acre property, at 525 San Antonio Rd., sits adjacent to Greendell School, next to the Cubberly Community Center.

Greendell School houses PAUSD’s Young 5s program, Springboard to Kindergarten, Adult Education, special education programs for preschool students and the Preschool Family Program.

“Staff is excited to bring this recommendation to the school board for discussion and subsequent action,” said Superintendent Kevin Skelly. “Consistent enrollment growth in the district is challenging our ability to adequately respond to this increase in students, and this property offers many exciting possibilities. Staff believes that an opportunity to acquire property adjacent to an existing site and in a part of the district where enrollment growth is most pronounced is worthy of strong consideration.”
