Simitian To Speak At Palo Alto High On Friday

What's a typical day like for a state Senator? Students will find out when Paly graduate Joe Simitian comes back to the classroom.

 

State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) will speak to Palo Alto High School students on Friday about what it’s like to be a state Senator as part of the school’s annual Career Month Speaker Series.

Simitian, a graduate of Palo Alto High School, will meet and speak with students at 11:30 a.m. in the school’s library about his educational background, how he decided on his career path, and what a typical day is like in the life of a state legislator.

“I’m excited to be going back to my alma mater and sharing my enthusiasm for public service with students at Paly,” Simitian said.

The theme of the Career Month Speaker Series is “Excellence! Finding Passion in Work and Life.”
