Most of us have a pretty good idea about the differences between Obama and Romney, but how many Palo Alto voters know the difference between the two candidates running for Santa Clara County Board of Education or the four running for Foothill-De Anza Board of Trustees?
On the Midpeninsula Community Media Center’s “Election Page” <http://midpenmedia.org/watch/elections_Nov_12flag.html> you can find five-minute video statements by these candidates. Palo Alto voters can also review a 20-minute video-debate on Measure C that would allow up to three medical marijuana dispensaries in Palo Alto.
There’s also a Palo Alto City Council candidates’ forum that was sponsored by the Palo Alto League of Women Voters.
The page includes links to their respective playback schedules on cable TV Channel 27 (Comcast).
Next week, there will be a PAUSD Candidates’ Forum and in two weeks there will be forums for State Assembly and State Senate races.
It’s decision time for voters and local elections affect every family. Make informed choices about who will run our schools and cities, and on local ballot measures.
