Camille Townsend Elected School Board President

Townsend first served as Board President in 2006.

Palo Alto Unified School District Board Member Camille Townsend was elected Board President Tuesday night in a unanimous vote.

The election, at the regular PAUSD Board meeting at the district’s headquarters, brings Townsend back to a position she first held in 2006.

Townsend was first elected to the board in 2003, re-elected in 2007, and has chaired the School/City Liaison Committee, the Board Policy Committee and the Property Committee.

Townsend holds a JD from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Law as well as an MS from the American University School of Public Policy. 

Also Tuesday, PAUSD Board Member Dana Tom was elected as Vice-President in a unanimous vote.
