For Whom The Stanford Bells Toll: 'Concert for Contemplation' Friday at Noon

On Friday, May 23, at 12 noon, Stanford University will ring the Hoover carillon bells to signal the university’s commitment to the well-being of the members of the campus community. 

Carillon Concert and Quiet Contemplation – May 23, 2014

Pre-concert relaxation: 11:30 a.m.
Dohrman Grove and in the grove between the Oval and Lathrop Library
Everyone on campus is invited to take a break in the workday to experience contemplation in his or her own individual way.

Concert: 12:00 - 12:20 p.m.
Everyone on campus is invited to enjoy the music of the Hoover Tower carillon bells. Music should be heard on most parts of campus.


Post-concert contemplation: 12:20 - 12:40 p.m.
Everyone on campus is invited to take this time to breathe, listen to the quiet and experience your membership in this community.
