Palo Alto Students Ace Exit Exams

Palo Alto high school students once again proved their superiority on the statewide test.

No one at Palo Alto Unified School District was sweating the results of the California High School Exit Exam—but it’s nice to get the results anyway. And the results are a beautiful testament to the quality of education in Palo Alto.

For the 2011-2012 school year, 97 percent of sophomores who took the test passed the math section while 96 percent aced the English section.

That tops both the county and state percentages. In Santa Clara County, 88 percent of sophomores passed the math section and 87 percent passed the English section. Statewide, 84 percent passed the math section and 83 percent passed the English section.
