Palo Alto Teacher Takes Home $10K Award
Palo Alto preschool teacher Tra'Shell Reese received the Children's Creative Learning Center's Early Child Educator Award.
A Palo Alto preschool teacher has received a prestigious honor.
Tra'Shell Reese, who teaches at a Palo Alto Children's Creative Learning Center, has been honored by the school's parent company as an Early Child Educator Award winner, Palo Alto Online reports.
Reese takes home a $10,000 prize, the report said. She is among 12 CCLC teachers across the nation who received the award.

Reese commutes to Palo Alto by a free VTA bus from her subsidized home in Milpitas, the report said.
CCLA runs about 3,000 preschool's in five countries, the report said. Reese teaches at the company's downtown Palo Alto campus (848 Ramona Avenue).

"The pay (for preschool teachers) is not always the best, but I enjoy every single day," she told Palo Alto Online.
"I never go to work mad or upset.
"I remember that speech Steve Jobs said at Stanford a few years ago, that you've got to do what you love doing. That just melted me."
