Stanford Sophomore Earns Future Energy Business Leader of 2014 Scholarship

Darren Handoko, a sophomore at Stanford University, has been named the US  winner of The Oxford Princeton Programme’s Future Energy Business Leaders of the 21st Century Scholarship.

Handoko was selected over 80 other “energy” students from the top universities and colleges across North America.

“We were thrilled with the number of high-quality student submissions received,” states Clara Lippert Glenn, President  & CEO, and The Oxford Princeton Programme.  “However, Mr. Handoko’s keen analysis of the energy industry today, specifically his recognition of where the challenges and opportunities lie for natural gas, allowed him to edge out the competition.”

The scholarship will enable Handoko to attend a professional-level energy training course delivered by highly regarded, active industry experts.

He will also have a unique opportunity to network with professionals already engaged in the industry—potential future colleagues, who will also be attending the course.  The Oxford Princeton Programme will cover fees associated with course participation.
