2 Part Fall Ayurvedic Cleanse

A change of season means a change in diet and a temporary change in daily routines. Ayurveda recommends a few days of internal cleansing at every change of season to remove toxins that may have built up during the previous season, allowing us to start each season anew. Through a cleansing diet, exercise and massage, we cleanse and purify our bodies and facilitate our own process of self healing.

Join us for an Ayurvedic cleanse and rejuvenation workshop at Blue Iris Studio and start the Fall with renewed energy.

1st weekend (October 6, 2012, 2:00pm - 4:00pm) Reboot: Understanding Your Body’s Operating System

Your body has a natural built-in detoxification mechanism that regulates your operating system. Modern life, with its many stresses and environmental toxins can overwhelm this mechanism. In this session, you will learn how to execute a simple five-day cleanse to flush and rejuvenate your cells, essentially rebooting your body’s operating system.

After cleansing, many clients have reported benefits such as weight loss, increased energy, improved immune function, improved sleep, and better emotional balance. Participants will leave with detailed instructions (including recipes) on how to complete the cleanse. Email and phone support will be available on an as needed basis. Participants may also choose to purchase a complete cleanse kit. The cleanse is triodoshic (appropriate for all doshas).

2nd weekend (October 28, 2012, 10:00am - 12:00pm) Restore: Backing Up Your Body's Hard Drive

Your body has resilience – a built in back-up mechanism to help your overcome fatigue and adversity. This session will teach you how to access your physical and emotional back ups through deep relaxation and renewal. While doing gentle yoga poses –- guided by Kate Crawford –- we will use Aromatherapy and Ayurvedic acupressure to help you restore your soul and spirit.
