AYSO El Palo Alto Invitational Soccer Tournament

The San Jose Earthquakes have announced a partnership with Palo Alto AYSO (American Youth Soccer Association) to organize the inaugural AYSO El Palo Alto Invitational Tournament on April 28-29, 2012.

The Earthquakes and Palo Alto AYSO have teamed up to increase awareness of the tournament and the Quakes, with an eye toward exposing youth soccer players to the professional sport, building a relationship between the two organizations, and increasing the player and family experience at the annual event.

The partnership between the Earthquakes and Palo Alto AYSO will involve co-marketing of the tournament through website exposure, prizes provided by the Major League Soccer franchise, appearances by Quakes mascot Q and the club’s Shakers squad, potential Quakes player participation, discounted Quakes tickets being available for purchase, and an MC for a portion of the competition and awards, which will go to teams placing first through fourth.

Teams from as far north as Davis and as far south as Gilroy are expected to compete at Greer, JLS/Mitchell, Seale and Terman parks in Palo Alto, with each squad guaranteed three games.
