Los Gatos Creek Watershed Tour

Ever wonder where runoff goes or how water magically appears, fresh and clean, from your faucets? There are approximately 2,110 watersheds in the continental United States, what purpose do they serve and how do your daily activities affect their function? It is time to step back and look at the bigger picture of the important role local watersheds play in our communities.

Join Committee for Green Foothills (CGF) on our Los Gatos Creek Watershed Tour in conjunction with the Shaped by Water: Past, Present and Future exhibit now at the History Museum of Los Gatos. Come out and enjoy an eye opening adventure through your local watershed. Take this opportunity to learn about its history and function, as well as the important steps being taken to protect and preserve this natural resource. This tour will showcase unique challenges related to balancing water storage and conveyance with the public need for recreational areas. Learn about past and current community efforts that have enhanced the beauty and use of these spaces and be inspired to know that each of us can play a role in ensuring that our watershed remains healthy and vibrant.

Enjoy a bus tour of the Los Gatos Creek Watershed that includes several stops, expert speakers, and lunch. Be prepared for moderate walking.
