Oakland East Bay Symphony and the Craneway Pavilion Announce the July 3rd "Target Independence Day Celebration"

The Craneway Pavilion, located inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, will host a patriotic, family friendly celebration featuring the Oakland East Bay Symphony (OEBS), Michael Morgan, Music Director, additional live music, food and fireworks at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 3. Located on 25 waterfront acres, Craneway Pavilion delivers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a 20,000 square foot patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond’s Firework Display. The event is free to the public and has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Target.

The live music line up begins at 6:30 p.m. featuring opening performers including Khalil Shaheed and Oaktown Jazz Workshops and Hilltop Community Church Choir. At 8 p.m. the Oakland East Bay Symphony, conducted by Music Director Michael Morgan, will begin its set of popular and rousing works to celebrate America’s Independence Day in a program that also features pianist Misha Galant, who was the Jr. Division winner of the OEBS Young Artist Competition. The Symphony’s set will end as the city of Richmond’s Firework Display launches over the water. The Oakland East Bay Symphony launches its 23rd season on November 4th at Oakland’s Paramount Theatre.
