With the rapid physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, it is important to find a place of joy and well-being. Jackie’s Saturday morning Anusara-Inspired class will help students feel good about themselves and find their confidence for conquering life’s daily obstacles. With a background in Anusara and Ashtanga yoga, Jackie’s practice helps students get out of their heads and into their hearts. It is a medium paced class which builds strength and flexibility, both of which are required for labor and parenting. Meditation, stretching, strength-building, mindfulness, and the use of Sanskrit language is utilized in a typical class. In addition, students will enjoy a theme woven into the practice based on traditional yogic teachings. This class, while moderately challenging physically, is appropriate for all skill levels and is a nice introduction for beginners to traditional yoga.
