Having fears during pregnancy, particularly about the labor process, is a common feeling of expectant mothers. Mendy’s class on Thursday evenings helps moms to release these fears, while practicing mindfulness, building strength, and finding a connection of spirit for birth and parenting. The practice encompasses a variety of movements, and is not limited to traditional yoga. Students can expect to spend a fair amount of time each week on breath work for labor, and will enjoy an eclectic mix of music. Massage techniques, partner work, energy work, and visualizations are often included in class. This is a great class for beginners and those seeking a wide-ranging, non-traditional yoga practice.
