BACKPACKING BAMBINOS HIKE

Where/When: Rancho San Antonio Park, 22500 Cristo Rey Dr., Los Altos. This Friday, July 29, 3:30-5 p.m.

Why Go: Join the folks from Stroller Hikes for a “Backpacking Bambinos” hike at Rancho San Antonio. This event is part of the group’s “training” series for backpacking with young children. Kids should be willing to walk, or parents should be prepared to carry them with soft carriers or backpacks; the trail is a bit rough for a jogging stroller, but one will work if you don’t mind the push. The group will climb one of the steep but short trails leading up to the water tower before heading down to the farm. Meet at the water fountain in the main parking lot—turn right as you enter the park, then follow the road until it ends. For more information or directions, see the Rancho San Antonio Page. Sorry, dogs not allowed. This hike is at least half shaded. Call Debbie at 650-776-1082 if you're running late.
