Palo Alto High Vikings First Game Friday

The Vikings hope to beat San Benito at home; Associated Student Body ask help from students to unfurl the Stars and Stripes.

In 2011, the Paly Vikings became Division I football state champs with a 14-0 record—and with every new season brings the potential that they could go all the way again.

This Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m., the team takes on San Benito High School with a mix of returning players, but also many new ones who replace the 16 seniors who've graduated, according to the Viking Sports Magazine. Also, new for the team, is adjusting to their recently constructed field.

To encourage the team and their school, the Palo Alto High Associated Student Body will unfurl a really big United States flag (which would look like this) and they need more students to help them properly do so. They can sign up here.
