Stanford Stuffs No. 2 USC
USC has the Heisman Trophy contender. USC is ranked No. 2 in the nation. Blah, blah, blah. And what does the Cardinal have? The win!!!!
The Stanford Cardinal scored a breathtaking upset over No. 2 USC on their home turf Saturday night, assuring the victory with just nine seconds left on the clock.
The crowd was on its feet, roaring on each defensive play with as much vigor as usually reserved for a touchdown. Facing an impossible fourth-and-39, USC quarterback Matt Barkley threw a desperate pass out of bounds. With nine ticks left on the clock, Stanford QB Josh Nunes took a knee, sending fans into a frenzy as they stormed the field. The final: 21-14.
Nunes showed poise as he led his team in a come-from behind victory, stepping firmly from the shadow of Andrew Luck. USC led at halftime 14-7. They were blanked in the second half.

Stepfan Taylor ran for 153 yards and scored two touchdowns.
This is Stanford’s fourth straight victory over USC.
