Stanford Women's Volleyball to Hold Open Practice Today

The ladies begin the season ranked sixth in the nation.

A third-straight gold medal for Stanford grad Kerri Walsh Jennings and beach volleyball partner Misty May-Trainor was one of the highlights of the London Olympics. It makes you wonder if the next Olympics standout is walking the Stanford campus right now.

The 2012 Stanford women's volleyball team will hold an open practice today from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion. The Lady Spikers begin the season ranked six in the nation.

If you can't make today's practice, two more open practice sessions will be held in Maples Pavilion:

Tues., Aug. 21 - 3-6 p.m.
Wed., Aug. 22 - 3-6 p.m.

Stanford begins the season at the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 24-26.
