SWIMMING: Local Swimmers and Divers Shine at CCS Finals

Tosky lead's the way for Palo Alto in CCS championships.

Palo Alto High swimmer Jasmine Tosky continued her brilliance on the biggest stage of the year, winning two 2011 Central Coast Section swimming titles on Saturday afternoon at the Santa Clara International Swim Center.

The stellar junior took first in the girls 200 free with a time of 1:44.20 just missing the CCS record time of 1:44.11 that she set in last years finals.

Tosky also placed first in the girls 100 butterfly with a first place mark of 52.20. The perennial champ broke the CCS record in the event on Friday in the prelims with a time of 51.92.

Paly also won the girls 200 freestyle relay, anchored by the speedy Tosky. Gunn placed third in the race with a time of 136.25.

The Titans turned the tables on their crosstown rivals and won the girls 400 free relay race flanked by Rachael Acker at the front and junior Casey Lincoln racing fourth. Paly finished third in the 400 relay.

Other notable finishers include:

Boys 200 Relay- 4th (Paly)

Girls 200 IM- Sarah Liang (Paly)- 4th place.

Boys 200 IM- Byron Sanborn (Paly)- 3rd place.

Boys 50 free-  Andrew Liang (Paly, 9th grade)- 3rd 

Girls Diving- Grace Greenwood (Palo Alto)- 2nd place with a score of 452.95.

Boys Diving- Cole Plambeck (Palo Alto)- 4th place

Boys 100 fly- Andrew Liang (Paly)- 5th

Girls 100 free- Rachael Acker (Gunn)- 2nd with a time of 49.40.

Girls 500 free- Casey Lincoln (Gunn)- 3rd place

Girls 100 back- Sabrina Lee- 4th place

Girls 100 breast- Sarah Liang- 2nd place

Boys 100 breast- Byron Sanborn- 3rd place
