They're On a Roll!

Peteluma is one step closer to the Little League World Series title!


The Petaluma National Little League team took yet another step closer to winning the Little League World Series tournament today.
  
Petaluma won 5-0 today against the Fairfield, Conn. at the game in South Williamsport, Pa., knocking Fairfield out of the tournament.
  
Shortstop Hance Smith, 13, hit a three-run home run in the third inning, putting Petaluma up 4-0. Perviously, Austin Paretti, 13, had scored in the bottom of the second, putting Petaluma up 1-0.

Pitcher Quinton Gago, 12 sealed the win with a double to right field in the bottom of the fifth inning that sent Paretti home again.
  
Petaluma will play again on Thursday, competing against the loser of Wednesday's game between Goodlettsville, Tenn. and San Antonio, Texas.
  
The winner of Wednesday's and Thursday's games will compete on Saturday in the U.S. Championship game to advance to the final game on
Sunday.
