TONIGHT: LeBron v. Lin!

Paly superstar Jeremy Lin goes up against goliath LeBron James in tonight's Knicks v. Heat.

Tonight’s match between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat is more than just a David and Goliath story.

Jeremy Lin, the grad who burst on the scene less than two weeks ago to take the NBA by storm, is by no means the “David” character in that parable. But by any account his team, the Knicks, are.

New York was 10-13 going into Jeremy Lin’s first starting game on Saturday, Feb. 4, against the New Jersey Nets, when he rocketed off the bench and scored 25 points with 7 assists.

He then led the team on a seven game winning streak, breaking records along the way, and pushing the Knicks to 17-17 leading into tonight’s highly anticipated game against the division-leading Miami Heat and their Goliath, LeBron James.

“We’ve been really busy for the games, always, because everyone wants to see who well Jeremy’s going to do,” said Manager Acacia Guzman. “We’re getting a lot of people in, more than usual.”

LeBron James told ESPN today that he’ll be watching tape before the game.

“I know I’m probably going to end up on Lin at some point, I may end up on Amare and I’ll probably start off on Carmelo,” James said. “When we go small, I’ll have to cover a big guy. If we go small, I’ll probably have to cover the point guard.”

Gametime is 4 p.m. PST on TNT.
