Acterra Needs Green@Home Specialists

Free training being offered starting next week.

If you’re looking for a great excuse to learn about climate change and the practical ways to reduce your carbon footprint at home, look no further.

’s highly popular program is getting increasingly popular in Palo Alto, as residents here .

As a result, however, Acterra is in who know how to perform Home Energy Assessments in a hands-on setting. That’s where you come in.

Starting next week, Acterra will hold a free, two-part training in which you’ll learn about various home energy efficiency tools and other ways to reduce resource use.

All you need in order to be qualified is a love for helping people and a desire to learn about renewable technologies, as well as a passion for environmental action, according to Green@Home Outreach Coordinator Elizabeth Sarmiento.

Your generous efforts will also help the City of Palo Alto meet its .

The next training session is Wednesday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 15, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Palo Alto.
