Brighten Your Smile and Help Lucile Packard Children's Hospital

Local Palo Alto dentist Christine Hansen to offer $99 teeth-whitening with all proceeds going to Cleft & Craniofacial Center at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.

Some children can't smile.

They might have a cleft lip and palate, while others could have a disorder in their facial bones. But they deserve to smile, don't they?

To help these children show off their grins, Palo Alto dentist Dr. Christine Hansen and her associates have partnered with the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) to fundraise for the Cleft & Craniofacial Center.

During the months of May and June, Christine Hansen DDS & Associates of Palo Alto will offer a special teeth-whitening package for only $99. Hansen will donate the entire amount to LPCH.

"I wanted to support the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health (LPFCH) for a long time," Hansen told Patch. "I had two of my four children [at Lucile Packard] and my daughter had a stay when she was an infant and the hospital has done a wonderful job for us."

Hansen added that over the last 12 years her clinic has participated in fundraising for children's charities. She felt that this particular project was a "great way to give back to my local community" and that "LPFCH was [her] first thought."

Proceeds from fundraiser will go to a wide variety of conditions affecting the face, head, and neck. The center sees about 60 infants per month and the team gives follow-up care until adolescence, according to a LPFCH spokeswoman.

To take advantage of the simple, non-invasive dental treatment at the more affordable price and help LPFCH, clients can call Christine Hansen DDS at 650-326-3290 and say they want the "charity whitening." This package is good for May and June.
