Palo Altan Heads to Oklahoma to Volunteer After Tornados

Getting back on your feet after a natural disaster must be extremely difficult. 

That's why Crispin Read of Palo Alto has left to Oklahoma to volunteer on behalf of the Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter to assist victims of the recent tornados, according to the Red Cross.

Read and another 28 Bay Area volunteers are tasked to find a safe place to stay, food to eat, cleaning supplies, health services and of course, emotional support.

The Red Cross reported that as of Friday, they had served more than 324,000 meals and snacks and distributed more than 74,000 relief items, and provided more than 15,400 health services and mental health contacts.
