Bradley Klahn became the latest standout on the court, winning the Cardinal's first men's singles championship since 2000. Its alumni include Tim Mayotte, John and Patrick McEnroe, David Wheaton, Jim Grabb, Jeff Tarango and the Bryan brothers, Mike and Bob. Its roster also boasts Academic All-Americans on an annual basis.

In March 2010 Stanford's women's fencing team was represented at the West Regional Champions and placed ninth at theMore 2010 NCAA Championships. The team was led by Francesca Bassa who placed eighth in the épée. Bassa was the lone Cardinal female to be honored as All-American. The Fencing Center, home to Stanford's Fencing team, is located in the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation, a 75,000 square foot recreation facility for students, faculty and staff, which opened in February 2006.

Three Stanford women's rowers, Lindsay Meyer, Grace Luczak and Julie Smith, were named to the 2010 U.S. Under 23 National Team roster. They were part of the U.S. crews that competed at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships in Belarus in July 2010. In the classroom, the Cardinal also excels. The Pacific-10 Conference included 19 Stanford women's rowers in its announcement of the All-Academic Rowing Teams in spring 2010.

Every summer, the Stanford Boathouse opens its doors to the community and to rowers around the country, teaching technique and instilling a passion and love of the sport. There are a variety of camps offering opportunities to rowers of all skill levels.

Maples Pavilion has earned a reputation as one of the finest facilities in the country, routinely hosting NCAA championship events. During the 2007-08 campaign, Maples Pavilion served as the host site for the NCAA Women's Volleyball first and second rounds and regionals.

The Stanford synchronized swimming team hosted the 2010 U.S. Collegiate Nationals at the Avery Aquatic Center March 11-13.

The 2010 Cardinal squad completed an undefeated regular season and captured the West Regional title.
