Haute Hot Dog Restaurant to Open in Palo Alto

If you stopped eating hot dogs because of the vegetarian friend you have, you might have to rethink that decision.

Coming soon to the Palo Alto culinary scene will be Chez Franc, a gourmet hot dog restaurant. They'll move into 415 S. California Ave., the former location of Know Knew Books which moved to Los Altos mid-August.

According to Chez Franc's Facebook page, demolition began this Wednesday. From the blueprint they posted there appears to be little room for sitting, probably because they expect most customers to eat their hot dogs on the go.

And from the pictures of the frankfurters, it's likely that they'll get lots of foot traffic.
