The Sea Shellabration: A Ritual Theater Performance in Honor of Olokun, the Owner of the Deep

This event celebrates the mystery and the history of the great ocean that surrounds our planet and informs of dreams.  All are invited to enter the Castle of
Olokun, where you will become liquid bodies dancing with mermaids to the
rhythms of the tides.  The songs of the
sirens will lull you to sleep , to dream through winter, under the light of the
moon.

 The rituals that are
part of this great event are a blend of scientific fact and wild stories told
with music, myth, song and dance from the cultures of Africa, Brazil, Cuba, and
the Americas.  The event is being
co-marketed with the Ocean Conservation organization.  7% of all the proceeds will be going to this
organization.

This is a
multi-cultural, multi-media event that is produced with audience
participation.  The event is suitable for
women, men, and children of all ages.
Encourage all to come dressed as a creature from the sea, and bring
small instruments to make celebratory noises.
