EPA Science Teacher Honored by President Obama

President Barack Obama honored an East Palo Alto science teacher this week with a prestigious national award.

Alma Park was one of 102 mathematics and science teachers nationwide to receive the annual Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching this year.
 
Winners receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation to be used at their discretion and are invited to attend an awards ceremony and other events in Washington, D.C. More information can be found at www.paemst.org.
