Stanford Alum's Story as One of Nation's Youngest Elected Officials Featured in Documentary

Subject of "True Son" film and Stockton councilmember, Michael Tubbs is speaking Saturday night in San Francisco.

Stanford University graduate Michael Tubbs, who earned both his bachelor's degree with honors and his master's in Policy, Organization, and Leadership studies at the Palo Alto institution, was elected in 2012 as the youngest City Councilmember in Stockton's history, and is now one of the youngest elected officials in the nation. 

Tubbs represents the 6th District of the City of Stockton -- the city in which he grew up.

A documentary about Tubbs' story, True Son, will air at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival this April.

On Saturday -- March 29 -- in the Mezzanine at Yoshi's SF, Tubbs will speak about his initiative to #Reinvent the city that made him.

Tubbs' appearance from 9:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. is part of Yoshi's "End of Quarter" celebration for young professionals and entrepreneurs.

This quarterly party brings together world-class entertainment with the Bay Area's young movers and shakers.
